Ahar Museum in Udaipur is named after a beautiful city called, Ahar. Ahar is the capital of Sisodias and is 3 Kms away from Udaipur, Rajasthan. There are numerous iron objects and also different varieties of objects of art forms in the splendid Ahar Museum. These objects are about 5000 years old. Earthen pots are among the rarest collection of ancient artifact in Ahar Museum.

Ahar Museum is one of the most becharming tourist attractions in Udaipur. Here you can get to see ancient earthen pottery, antiques, iron objects, objects d' art and other ancient objects unearthed in this part of Udaipur. The architectural parts stored in the museum are very old. Some of the art works date back to the 1700 B.C. One of the best attractions of Ahar Museum is a Buddha statue, a metal figure dating back to the 10th century. You may also tour the elaborately carved temple shrines located in Ahar dating back to the 10th century A.D.
You can also get to have a glimpse of the Gangod Bawa Kund situated nearer to the Ahar temples. According to locals, this artificial reservoir used to be filled up with water that came from an belowground stream which was a part of the sacred River Ganges.
Most of the royal Sisodia Maharanis and various Maharanas of Udaipur were cremated at Ahar and the splendid monuments were built to remember them. This forms a vital part of Udaipur architectural wealth. Among the cenotaphs, the most striking cenotaph at Ahar Museum is that of Maharana Amar Singh, who ruled Udaipur from 1597 to 1620. Maharana Amar Singh was the first Maharana to be cremated at Ahar. His son and successor Karan Singhji built the magnificent marble chattri or cenotaph at his cremation site.
