- City Palace: Located on the east bank of lake Pichola, the City Palace is a picturesque and grand array of palaces which were built at different times from the year 1559 onwards. The City Palace is a great provider of the panoramic views of Jag Niwas and the Jag Mandir. The main entrance of this place lies through the triple-arched gate - the Tripolia which was constructed in 1725. It contains the Suraj Gokhda, where the maharanas of Mewar used to revitalize the spirit of the people in hard times of the city. The Mor-chowk or the Peacock courtyard is famous for its vivid mosaics in glass decorating its walls. The Chini Chitrashala is sure to mesmerize yopu with a series of wall paintings of Krishna.
