This house is also known as Teenmurti Bhawan, and presently it houses a museum, a library and a planetarium. Everything has been dedicated to Nehru. The personal museum here in Nehru Museum and Planetarium constitutes the bedroom, the drawing room and the study room. They are preserved exactly in the same way as they were at the time of Nehru's death. They have a nice display of his various achievements, his childhood and youth. The Gifts Gallery of Nehru Museum exhibits some priceless gifts received by Nehru during his travel in India as well as abroad. This includes the Bharat Ratna medal which was awarded to him in the year 1955. To symbolize the ideals of Jawaharlal Nehru, The Jawahar Jyoti, an eternal flame is kept burning day and night at Nehru Museum and Planetarium.
Nehru's first speech on the eve of Indian Independence is inscribed on a huge granite rock which is put up in the front lawn in Nehru Museum. The collection of the library is made up of books and material on culture, religion, economics, politics, sociology and development of India. Apart from the books, you also find various pamphlets, newspapers, periodicals, old and rare journals and an excellent manuscript collection.
